Axe Finance developed Axe Credit Portal (ACP), a future-proof AI-driven solution to automate the entire credit lifecycle from KYC to servicing including origination, credit scoring, and automatic decision-making. ACP is a multi-segment digital lending solution covering not only Retail, Commercial, Corporate, FIs, and Sovereign segments but also other specific types of lending such as embedded financing, and Islamic finance.

We are actively seeking a highly motivated MBA intern with a passion for strategy, growth and business development to support the CEO directly. As a key member of the strategy team, you will contribute to refining the company’s overall strategic direction, identifying growth opportunities and support scaling up sales operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to define and formalize the company’s long-term strategy.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and strategy workshops to generate insights and ideas for company growth and market positioning.
  • Conduct market research and internal analysis to support data-driven decision-making identifying key opportunity and challenges.
  • Assist in translating strategic initiatives into detailed implementation plans, including timelines, KPIs and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on the execution of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.


GROWH & SALES FUNCTION SCALE-UP

  • Work closely with the sales leadership team to design and implement a scalable sales strategy tailored to a financial software company.
  • Perform appropriate market research to assess the TAM, SAM & SOM in the target markets of the company, broken down by region/country/client segment.
  • Research untapped markets/regions and provide detailed recommendations on which markets should be targeted in the short, mid, and long-term as part of the company’s growth and scale-up strategy.
  • Analyze current sales processes, identifying areas for improvements in efficiency, tools and team structure.
  • Assess and enhance sales KPIs and performance metrics to measure success and drive accountability across the team.
  • Support implementing a “localized” marketing approach to support sales.
  • Support the development of sales enablement tools, training materials and playbooks to ensure consistency and effectiveness as the sales function grows.

CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing an MBA degree from a leading business school.
  • Previous experience (5+ years) in strategy and management consulting, investment banking or PE.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment & across all levels of the organization.

START DATE: Immediate

DURATION: 6-12 months preferably full-time paid internship/ part-time also possible. Possibility of full-time position to be offered at the end of the internship

REQUIREMENTS: Eligible to legally work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship from the company.
